The Internet has made available myriad digital resources for science educators and learners. The number of materials has become so vast as to hamper effective learning. To provide some order and to promote learning, a consortium of agencies is working to develop the National Science Digital Library (NSDL). The NSDL consists of a network of collected and categorized resources and learning environments to support Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education at all levels. One of the focus points in this effort is the collection of resources dedicated to chemistry. This conference will present papers by major developers of NSDL chemistry collections and describe the new Chemical Education Digital Library (ChemEd DL), the NSDL’s pathway to chemistry education materials.
