The Spring 2008 CONFCHEM Conference: Chemistry at the National Science Digital Library has begun.
Anyone may participate in these on-line conferences by subscribing to the CONFCHEM Listserv. There is no registration fee, so please join us!
CONFCHEM (CONFerences on CHEMistry) is devoted to on-line conferences in chemistry education and research. On-line conferences on particular topics are conducted from time to time. Dates and topics are announced on this website, via the CONFCHEM list and other chemistry-related Internet sources, and in various print publications. CONFCHEM papers are available on this Website and discussion takes place via the CONFCHEM e-mail list. CONFCHEM is organized by the Committee on Computers in Chemical Education (CCCE) of the American Chemical Society Division of Chemical Education. The CONFCHEM Listserv is managed by Robert Belford and the Website is managed by John Penn. For more information see the recent CONFCHEM article from the DivCHED Newsletter.
| Please note that CONFCHEM is NOT a general-purpose chemistry discussion group. It is devoted to SCHEDULED conferences at planned intervals. The CONFCHEM list is not active between these scheduled conferences. General questions and discussions about chemistry should be directed to the sci.chem newsgroup or the Chemistry Education Discussion list (ChemEd-L). These groups are active year-round and can provide quick answers to general inquiries. |
Prospective session organizers and authors should refer to the schedule of upcoming conferences and the author notes page for more information. Members of the chemistry education and research community who wish to propose topics or organize future conference sessions should contact Leon Combs, Robert Belford, or John H. Penn.
