General Notes

All papers should be complete and available on the conference web page before the beginning of the conference.
Posting the papers on the www.ched-ccce.org server is preferred. Papers with specialized files are easiest to post on the author's server.
Typical deadlines for information to be submitted prior to the beginning of a conference:
- > 6 months: Organizer(s) set topic of session in consultation with Leon Combs, Robert Belford, or John H. Penn.
- 2 months: Organizer(s) send preliminary schedule and abstracts to John H. Penn for posting.
- 3-4 weeks: Authors send papers to John H. Penn for posting (see file details below).

Consult with Elizabeth Dorland, Gary Trammel, Robert Belford, or John H. Penn to organize a conference session.
Announce the conference via: CHEMED-L, CONFCHEM Listserv, CHED Newsletter, etc.
Consult with John H. Penn if you'd like a template document with a common format for paper style, return link, footer, etc.
Obtain the following information at least 2 months before the start of the conference and send to John H. Penn for posting on the conference web page.
- Paper titles.
- All authors with affliations and mailing addresses.
- E-mail address of the corresponding author(s).
- Final abstract of all papers.
- Preliminary schedule for discussion of papers.

The session chair will provide deadlines and guidelines on paper length, focus, etc.
DO NOT use spaces in filenames. If you use upper and lower-case letters in filenames, do so consistently.
The main body of your paper should be readable with only a web browser. DO NOT use browser-specific tags or applets that require plug-ins in the main body of your paper. If you use advanced features, place them in separate files and link to them from your main paper.
Give your files distinct names, e.g., yourname.html. Don't use filenames that another author is likely to use, e.g. confchem.html or figure1.gif.
Figures should be in GIF, JPG, or PNG format.
If you prepare your paper in a word processor (recommended), just send the document directly to John.Penn@mail.wvu.edu.
The on-line paper can consist of multiple files. If feasible, also piece together one single file that people can print easily.
E-mail your document and image files to John.Penn@mail.wvu.edu for posting on the CONFCHEM website. If you have a lot of individual files, zip them into one archive file if possible.
John Penn will notify you by e-mail when your file is posted so that you may proofread the final version.
